BuiltLuskTough operates out of Bainbridge, Georgia at Southern Raceway MX. Southern Raceway has been the training grounds for Ezra Lusk and Shane Lusk through part of their careers as well as sparring grounds with Ricky Carmichael, Ernesto Fonseca, Matt Walker, Nathan Ramsey, and many more. After a traumatic spinal injury to Shane Lusk, Ezra Lusk retired from racing. A year later, once Shane was gaining more mobility, he and his brother began visiting hospitals and talking to patients with spinal-injuries to try and instill hope and passion in that life does go on and you can live again. Shane Lusk could not stay away from the facility in Bainbridge, Georgia and wanted to host races and train local talent, all while pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences forty miles away at Florida State University. Part of Shane's life was spent in the dirt and in the classroom, and the other part in an even bigger classroom (FSU) and between parallel bars learning how to walk again. The passion and dedication that grew from his life's obstacles are parallel with those of his older brother, Ezra. Together, they harness an incredibly positive outlook on life. Ezra, set for life with his two children, wife, and tennis racket in one hand and passion for dirt bikes in another. And Shane, with his education in one hand and the desire to do to something special in the world of motocross and health. The brothers came together to offer something at both ends of the spectrum - train the rising stars, and inspire the fallen stars. Below is a video of the facility. |
